A clone of MS Paint in the browser using HTML5. Very well done.
The original HoloLens was flawed. But it was still a glimpse at the future. Version 2 allegedly improves on most of the shortcomings of the original. Hopefully I get a chance to play with it soon.
The concept video looks amazing... too bad it's completely fake and all done in after effects. I don't know why Microsoft likes to set such expectations, it seems dishonest. I am extremely skeptical that the real final product, whenever it arrives, will work even remotely close to that.
This essay may be the best thing to ever come out of Microsoft. It's hilarious and sadly most people I know won't get it.
A famous technology entrepreneur said a long time ago that Microsoft has no taste. He was right back then, and he's still right today.
So weird: Microsoft and Anime, together, and it's not new.
After PRISM, you must forgive me if I am temporarily paranoid.
Oh Samsung, an impressive tech behemoth. But their culture of ripping off the designs of others is still deeply ingrained. They didn't even change the colors of the four buttons.
Microsoft didn’t invent the PC but benefited from its invention. Microsoft didn’t invent BASIC, they didn’t invent the PC operating system, they didn’t invent word processor, spreadsheet, or presentation applications, they didn’t invent PC games, they didn’t invent the graphical user interface, they didn’t invent the notebook or the tablet, they didn’t invent the Internet, they didn’t invent the music player or the video game, but they benefited from all these things.
The worst thing about Windows 8 and Surface and Windows RT is how damn confusing it is to the average consumer.
Microsoft spends ad time teaching users how to use Windows 8. Mind you, this is not 2007 when the brand new iPhone came out and nobody had seen a product that used capacitive touch screens and multi touch in this manner. No, this is 2012 and this is just a new version of a new OS that the whole world knows how to use and has been doing it since the nineties AT LEAST. Is MS in the right track? I'm very skeptical.
The most amazing part of this is that Samsung, not Microsoft, is the company that copies Apple the most nowadays.
Are they lining up to buy the next Office?
If people get to choose their phones, they. choose 92% iPhones, 6% Android, 2% Windows Phone 7.
Remember all those joke emails about "What if Microsoft Windows ran in your car"? Holy shit....
Very well made and amusing spoof: What if The Matrix ran on Windows? (not Vista I hope)
Sad sad sad.
MIcrosoft has written a guid of why you should NOT buy and Apple iPod shuffle. Lame.
