Another cool toy I want to try.
Basic, obvious things. But I guess some people don't know all of these.
It's really cool, but I don't know why anyone would spend this much money on a machine that can run nothing but a browser.
Microsoft didn’t invent the PC but benefited from its invention. Microsoft didn’t invent BASIC, they didn’t invent the PC operating system, they didn’t invent word processor, spreadsheet, or presentation applications, they didn’t invent PC games, they didn’t invent the graphical user interface, they didn’t invent the notebook or the tablet, they didn’t invent the Internet, they didn’t invent the music player or the video game, but they benefited from all these things.
A daily briefing of technology news worth caring about, edited by Richard Dunlop-Walters
If you can't read tech news all day, this gives you a nice little summary for the day.
This camera can perfectly track a ping pong ball. Check out the video, it's cool.
Wow, that's exactly the same technique I use to win at Rock, Paper, Scissors every time. I should have patented it.
The story of ARM, the company that designs the chip inside your phone. Part 1.
Apple's CEO Steve Jobs on why Adobe's Flash is not allowed to run on iPhone, iPod, nor iPad. Nothing new here, but interesting to read directly from the source.
Nice write up about NI. I had my ten year anniversary lunch with them on Wednesday.
This is an all new technology for photography. If it works as advertised (a big if) and if the resolution is good enough, then this would be a complete revolution in photography.
So far I cannot find what resolution this maps to.
Funny blog with things that Siri says.
I want.
Remember how we engineers used to laugh at TV shows and movies when some law enforcement entity had a blurry photo in a computer, pressed a button to "de-blur" and then could see all the details? Well, it looks like it's coming to Adobe Photoshop soon!
I am strangely drawn to this product. I want it.
I read about one or two Android security problems per day.
Most people don't realize just how badly the US lags other countries in telecommunications.
I linked to GoPano before. This is a video taken with a very similar (or the same?) techonology. It's a 360 degree video of the riots in Vancouver. Awesome (the tech, not the riots).
This is amazing technology: this camera captures intensity, direction, and color of individual rays of light. This means you can focus after taking the photo or even display the photo in 3D. Check out the demo and the video.
This is the future of photography... if it ever makes it to market.
lots of things to look forward to.
