This stuff was so cool to me when I was a little kid, and it still is.

"The Challenger made it through the spectacular eruption of its external fuel tank with its cabin more or less intact. Rather than being carried to Heaven in an instant, the crippled vessel kept sailing upward for another three miles before its momentum gave out, then plunged 12 miles to the ocean. The crew was, in all likelihood, conscious for the full two and a half minutes until it hit the water." That's horrendous.
Funny thing is that if someone used this footage in a Hollywood movie, people would complain it looks fake.
Cool photos, well done article.
Stunning images.
Incredible "what if" scenario: had NASA detected the wing damage to space shuttle Columbia, could they have had rescued the crew?

Amazing video!

Amazing satellite photo of the Egyptian pyramids lets you admire their geometry.
The new spacesuit looks great, not only because it reminds me of Buzz Lightyear. Astronauts enter it through a hatch in the back. This is not as innovative as some may think: Although not mentioned in the article, Russian Cosmonaut spacesuits have used that idea since the beginning of the Cold War.
Very pretty.
