When comedians make more sense than political leaders.
At that point, the days when American Jews can live comfortably within the Democratic fold will be numbered.
Do not underestimate the capacity of Democrats to self-sabotage ahead of the 2020 elections.
When you find yourself on the same side as Hassan Nasrallah, Louis Farrakhan and David Duke on the question of a country’s right to exist, it’s time to re-examine every opinion you hold.
This article is the counterpoint to another recent and logically incoherent New York Times article by Michelle Goldberg titled "Anti-Zionism Isn’t the Same as Anti-Semitism".
Anti-Zionism is the denial to grant the Jewish People their right to self-determination, which is without a doubt Anti-Semitic.
"ADL H.E.A.T. Map is the first-of-its-kind interactive and customizable map detailing extremist and anti-Semitic incidents around the nation. ADL experts in its Center on Extremism developed this unique visualization with data points extracted from information sources including news and media reports, government documents (including police reports), victim reports, extremist-related sources, Center on Extremism investigations and more."
What a disaster this man is for Great Britain
“Like many Jewish journalists who reported on Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, I spent the 2016 election being harassed by a motley crew of internet racists who coalesced around the future president. They sent me threats, photoshopped me into gas chambers and hurled an uncreative array of anti-Semitic slurs my way.”
What an opening paragraph.
One interesting takeaway:
"Last week, acting on a tip, we logged into Facebook’s automated ad system to see if “Jew hater” was really an ad category. We found it, but discovered that the category — with only 2,274 people in it — was too small for Facebook to allow us to buy an ad pegged only to Jew haters.
Facebook’s automated system suggested “Second Amendment” as an additional category that would boost our audience size to 119,000 people, presumably because its system had correlated gun enthusiasts with anti-Semites."
Interesting correlation. This is based on data mined from a gigantic sample size. If the system says there's a correlation it's because there is, not because it's inferred by a person. Make whatever conclusions you want to make. None are good.
Even if Trump loses, he's done huge damage to this country. His legacy will include empowering the absolute worst racist scum to crawl out of their hole and come to the forefront.
UNESCO's vote denying historic Jewish connection to Jerusalem is some of the most sickening, blatant antisemitism to come out of the UN recently. You don't vote on history, just like you don't vote to decide whether 2+2 is 4 or 4.5. This is historical revisionism at it worse, comparable to Holocaust denial.
I'm outraged and insulted that Mexico voted for it (http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-4866113,00.html)
Also of note, the statement of UNESCO's Director-General AGAINST the resolution: http://www.unesco.org/new/en/media-services/single-view/news/statement_by_the_director_general_of_unesco_on_the_old_city-1/#.WAEBQaOZOEI
What's worse?
Major candidate to US presidency tweets an image with stereotypical antisemitic imagery and ...
a) Does it knowingly.
b) Is so ignorant that does not realize why it's bad.
c) Does not lose any votes over it.
There's still Jews in Yemen, time for another Magic Carpet.
Worth a read.
Very interesting (and frightening) work by the ADL. I didn't know Panama was the most antisemitic country in America.
Not too dissimilar from cartoons seen in the Arab world or Nazi Germany
Unfortunately the Arab Spring did not bring an era of democracy, enlightenment, and tolerance. Here's an example.
This is the current president of the largest Arab country, Israel's neighbor with whom there is peace treaty.
Does not give you warm fuzzy feelings.
