The original creators of the Space Quest series of videogames by Sierra OnLine (one of my –if not my favorite ever) have been working on a new "version" with different name for 10+ years on Kickstarter. I'm surprised it's still going!
This is so very well done.
Today’s Atari company is not the same Atari from the 70s. They just own the brand which has passed hands over and over and over. But I must say it’s pretty cool that they are making a game cartridge for the 2600.
Three game cartridges to be released this year (2021!) for the Atari 2600. Yes, I find this to be really cool. I’m a sucker for these retro things.
Interestingly these are games that were developed back in the 80s but never releases. Where is the modern SDK for the Atari 2600?

I don't know how up-to-date this will be kept.
This is unbelievably impressive. It made me browse eBay for a used Commodore 64 and a CRT TV.
It will probably be crap, but the industrial design alone makes this desirable.
If the real thing ends up looking anything like those renders, that is.
I can think of worst ways to spend $1000.
This is Nintendo's next video game system. No more separate portable vs console systems. I bet it's computationally-speaking underpowered, compared to PS and Xbox (and iPhone 7) and it probably doesn't matter.
Nice commercial. Like the product, it pushes all the nostalgia buttons.
A Doom 2 Seinfeld mod. This guy is a genius.
Very funny, and challenging too.
Sure, but what about Space Quest?

When I was a little kid, I had this game. I couldn't make sense of it but I always thought it was because I was too little. Then I heard the rumors about the cartridges being buried and thought it was all fake. Turns lit it wasn't. My childhood has come full circle.
This guy plays video game music, sound effects and all, synchronized with a screen, on a violin. Check out the Super Mario Brothers one.
Oh boy... I had many of these. Quite the trip down memory lane.
If you have more than one iPad / iPhone or Android equivalent, give this is a try. Impressive demo done with nothing but web technologies.
So I thought the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset was the coolest thing to come out soon. Then I learned you can couple it with this 360 degree "treadmill"!
