Sort of like Gordon, but made by Google. I wonder if there is any relationship. Works well on the examples provided.
Uh oh - Angry Birds for the Chrome Web Store. It's not as "smooth" as the iPhone on the PC I tried it on, even though the hardware is many times faster, but it works and it does not appear to use Flash.
If people get to choose their phones, they. choose 92% iPhones, 6% Android, 2% Windows Phone 7.
Very impressive: Google took their street view technology to several famous museums, so you can work around them. They also scanned several paintings in very very high resolution so that you can zoom in to the smallest detail.
Google doing no evil: they will help digitize Yad Vashem's holocaust archive. Via Moi.
I only expect a specific subset of my readers to understand this.
You've gotta see this YouTube video. Very funny and clever.
Richard Stallman says that cloud computing is evil because all your data is held on to by a third party. Also that it will work because a sucker is born every minute. I don't think people will use it (only) because they are suckers. They will use it because it's so convenient, and people are willing to give up control and/or money in exchange for convenience.
Maybe I'll start using some of these fonts on The MKX®
ArsTechnica examines the tricks used by the screen on Google's Nexus One phone, its pros, cons, and whether their resolution claims are legit.
Google has started their own DNS service. This is the service that converts a domain name such as kirsch.com.mx into the actual Internet Protocol (IP) address such as 208.113.237.11. As you can imagine, this service is accessed almost every time you enter a URL. When you configure your computer to access the internet, you enter the DNS servers provided by your ISP. You can replace them with Google's (8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4). In theory, their service will be faster and more secure than what you are probably using now.
Pretty cool Google page with all your account info related to all of Google's services.
Need your help: Click on "Port a number to Google Voice" and "iPhone application". Thanks - Marcos.
Awesome Javascript demos. They seem to work fine with Safari 4.0 beta. Do not try them with IE.
There have been prior archeological discoveries done through Google Earth. Now reports of Atlantis being found came up after the recent release of Google Earth with ocean views. Turns out not to be the case. Interesting nonetheless.
No iPhone killer here.
A much improved beta of Google Reader, optimized for iPhone. Looks a lot better than the old mobile Google Reader joke.
