I think this shows one of Apple's philosophies: "Nothing" is preferable to "shitty".
This is an interesting interview from 2003. It's interesting to see how pretty much everything Steve Jobs predicted became true, even though most of it sounded almost impossible back then. Dell DJ? Ha! An iPod clone by MS? Ha!
